How is PaperStone® made?

PaperStone® is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper that hasbeen saturated with our own proprietary PetroFree™ phenolic resins andselected natural pigments. Resin-saturated sheets are stacked together andmoved into a press where they are fused together under pressure and heat.Use of natural pigments rather than dyes assures superior UV resistance,color stability and even color distribution throughout the entire panel.
Phenolic resin and paper composites have long been known to have superior tensile, compression, impact and flexural strengths. They absorb very little water, hold no odors, resist stains and bacteria, and are the products of choice in applications requiring high fire resistance PaperStone® has a Class A fire rating).
